Safety Standards

E4Eazy is committed to providing a safe, trusted, and accountable mobility platform for all users in Sierra Leone. The standards below outline the measures we enforce to protect passengers, drivers, and the community.

Driver Identity Verification

Every driver on E4Eazy must complete identity verification using a government-issued ID (National ID, Passport, Voter ID, or Driver's License) before accepting any rides. Documents are checked for authenticity and duplicates.

Face Verification & Liveness Checks

Drivers undergo a live selfie verification that is matched against their submitted ID photo using AI vision technology. This ensures the person creating the account is the same person who will be driving. Face verification is also used at login for added account security.

Police Clearance Requirement

All drivers are required to upload a police clearance certificate or background check within 30 days of registration. Drivers who fail to comply within the grace period are suspended until the document is provided and reviewed.

Real-Time Trip Tracking

Every ride is tracked in real time on a live map. Passengers can see their driver's location, route, and estimated arrival at all times. The full trip route is recorded and associated with the ride record for dispute resolution.

SOS Emergency Alerts

Both passengers and drivers can trigger an SOS alert during an active ride. The SOS immediately notifies the passenger's emergency contacts and the E4Eazy platform, sharing the live trip location for rapid response.

Live Trip Sharing

Passengers can share a live trip link with family and friends, allowing them to track the ride in real time from any browser — no app installation required. Share links expire automatically after the trip ends.

Ratings & Accountability

Both passengers and drivers rate each other after every completed trip. Low ratings trigger automatic reviews, and users with consistently poor ratings are removed from the platform. Reports can be filed for safety, harassment, fare disputes, rude behavior, lost items, and late arrivals.

Secure Payments & Escrow Protection

All digital payments (Orange Money, Africell Money, PayPal) are processed through secure, encrypted channels. Prepaid ride fares are held in escrow until the trip is completed, protecting both passengers and drivers from fraud.

Reporting & Moderation

Users can report any safety concern through the in-app reporting system. Reports are categorized by severity (low, medium, high, urgent) and reviewed by the E4Eazy safety team. Urgent reports are prioritized for immediate action, including account suspension where warranted.

Vehicle Verification

Driver vehicles are verified for make, model, color, and license plate. Vehicle information is displayed to passengers before they board, ensuring they can confirm they are entering the correct vehicle with the correct driver.
